Greetings from Sibenik! (It is pronounced “Shi-ben-ick”). We had a nice breakfast in the Hotel Slavija restaurant this morning, before our journey from Split to Sibenik. Isn’t the journey supposed to be the real experience or something like that? Sounds like it was a”journey” day! Although I am not envying you guys with your wheeled suitcases on all those cobblestones and steps.

Yes we’ve really been hauling our suitcases around this trip! They are extremely sturdy though, and have withstood the cobbles and steps.

Travel days
I like that you still got to do so much on a travel day, and a delayed travel day too. I would have been annoyed at the lack of communication about the later bus too; especially as the group leaders communicate all the time. Hope you enjoy Tamara' leadership as much as you have been enjoying Zigi's so far. It's so nice to read that you two seem to be enjoying this trip very much :)

We both really enjoyed the trip! Tamara was a lot different from Zigi, but we liked her too. I was glad we had Zigi on the longer first part of our trip though.

Oh dear, the bus journey didn't sound too nice at all, sorry to hear. And how unfortunate that you had another "bag drag". Still, nice to read about Sibenik, and that you managed to find your ice creams and aperitifs - I'm sure they helped to make the world right again! 😊

Yeah, that wasn't a great bus journey ... luckily the others were much better! Drinks and gelato definitely helped!
