I spent about 10 days in total in Sofia... after arrivin i found the hostel fairly easy, the hostel was prolly one of the best i stayed in which is prolly the reason i managed to stay so long.. there was free all you can eat breakfast and a free pasta and beer each night.., bein there for so long i got to see a bit of the nightlife ended up goin to quite a few different nightclubs and bars.. one bar we went to had a bucks night so we got to see all the craziness bulgarians get up to.. also went to a place called Studentski Grad, where there was a heep of bars in the one area about a 10 inute taxi ride from the city.. durin the days id ever sleep, hang around the hostel, or just wonder around the city lookin at stuff, one of the days was spent tryin to get up Mt Vitosha with Leisa from canada, after catchin the tram in the wrong direction and waiting at a bus stop that wasnt actually a bus stop for a while we actually saw he real bus we eventually got a some bus then went up mt vitosha only to find out the lift thing wasnt runnin.. so we stayed on the bus to se where it went. eventually it got to some place and turned around and went back to the city, even tho we never got to the where we wanted to go it was a fun bus ride.
also went to rila monastry for a day. the reason so long was spent in sofia was i was tryin to get my romanian visa and one f the days i went they were closed and i had to wait until the next week to go apply. but because bulgaria is so cheap and you can get massive meals for fairly cheap and cheap beer i had no problem stayin that long.. i did go to Veliko Tarnovo for a few days to wait until the romanian embassy re-opened.
