Ghent & Brussels

After a brief sojourn into France yesterday we have returned to Belgium. Our journey today takes us to Ghent & Brussels.

Ghent is a very pretty medieval town with many churches as well as a castle.

One wonders where all of the money came from to pay for these magnificent buildings.

Religion and royalty were good business. Serfdom less so. Poor pay few benefits.
