Bruges

We returned to the airport to pick up a rental car It is at Fiat 500, quite a nice little car. It turned out to be a little surprising because it is an automatic with navigation and sunroof.

Our journey to Bruges was uneventful. Our hotel is located next to one of the canals. We did have to park our cart at a public garage nearby.

The room is pleasant. The hotel is a nice mix of old and modern.

We walked around Bruges which is a Unesco Heritage site. Many beautiful buildings including those in a very ornate style.

Streets are narrow and cobblestones many of which are granite.

Dinner was at a nearby restaurant recommended by the hotel. We tried a couple typically Flemish meals.
