On Christmas Eve, we decided to explore the town of Saint Vith a little. It was bitterly cold (but at 2 degrees, still too warm to snow!). We wandered along the main street, exploring the little shops (buying a few extras for under the tree) and looking at the photo boards showing St Vith before and after December 25, 1944 - basically, nothing was left!

We then took it easy around the Mill for the afternoon, going out only to explore the artisan chocolate maker just up the road from Miranda - the chocolate shaped like an iPhone was a big hit, as was the postcard and the cd of chocolate.

We then went to Mass in Malmedy - a nearby French speaking village. Mass was beautiful, and it is amazing how much I could remember from my school girl French...or maybe it is just that our religion is a common language.

Merry Christmas to all!
