this past weekend I went on a spur of the moment trip to Belgium! To be honest I never really thought to Belgium, but for those who are thinking of a European adventure I highly recommend this country!! One of my roommates is Belgian and was kind enough to let 14 people stay at his house, and drive us to the best places that we probably wouldn't have seen on our own. When you go abroad it is opportunities like this that need to be taken advantage of! The first place we toured was Brugge, a place where all the buildings are a mix of old and new. After a day of exploring we went back for the night and tried different Belgian beers. Belgians take great pride in there beer and boy do they have a lot! On Sunday we all relaxed and enjoyed a warm sunny morning before heading into Antwerpen for the day. Like Brugge, Antwerp is a mix of old and new. We strolled through the city taking in the sites. title. The beauty of Belgium made this trip one to remember, but the people I got to experience it with were by far the best part. I have found that embracing every moment even when it takes you out of your comfort zone opens up a new world. I would have never thought I would have met so many wonderful people that I can say i will cherish forever. Each has played such an important role in this trip so far and I look forward to creating more memories in theses last few weeks!
