Our days in Bruges are now dwindling, since we move on to the Loire Valley region of France in just a few days' time. The overcast skies, chilly temperatures, and frequent showers have so far dissuaded us from taking a canal cruise, an activity that is almost mandatory when visiting the city that has been dubbed the "Venice of the North". The boat captain explained that the small opening at the top of the red spires is where carrier pigeons once took-off and returned, in the days before e-mail.

Dee looks like a movie star! You both look really good. Very interesting about Dali did not know that bit of history. That's why his work is so unique. Food looks amazing and I'm sure was yummy!!

Looks like you had a wonderful Easter. The prawns and creme brûlée mad my mouth water. Great photos of the two of you. Glad you were able to finally take the canal cruise.

So glad that the sun briefly appeared and you both braved the cruise conditions, worth the trip I hope looked to be. Interesting facts of Dali, knew him to be a strange one, but not all of that... I have been to his museum in Tampa area. That waffle looks very delish! Gonna miss them.
