Inter City Express trainSo now I'm heading to Bruges, Belgium (http://www.brugge.be/internet/en/index.htm) pronounced (broozh) from Cologne via Brussels. Chatted with an Iranian lady on the train. She was returning from a trip to Iran to see her family. She lives in Antwerp, Belgium. She told about here cousin which lives in Iraq. She said her cousin is very grateful to the US for giving Iraqees an opportunity for freedom. She cried while telling the story, it was very moving. Never prouder to be an american!!! You don't hear that on the news.... Sorry I was rushing and didn't get a picture of her.
Oh yeah I overnighted in Cologne. And upon heading from the hotel via taxi (15km) to the train station the taxi driver stopped. There was a marathon taking place and he couldn't drive any nearer to the train station. So the last 1-2 miles was on foot in the rain! Good thing I had a rain parka. Luckily there was a very tall church to guide my way, see pics.
