We woke up early at Case de Gadd's and made our way to the Ramsgate train station to catch the 7 am train to Ashford. From Ashford we we took the Euro star train to Brussels. We got off the train, put our luggage in a locker and tried to get a cab. We wanted to go to Moeder Lambic pub for a few beers and lunch. We could not get a cab and could not figure out why. We made our way down to the metro. We bought our tickets and when we got down to the platform there was an announcement that due to a strike there would be no more subway trains running. Back up we went and started walking. We made it there with time to have a light lunch and two beers each. It was worth it. We walked back to the train station and checked in for our next train to Frankfurt Germany.
