Day 15

On the road again, Brussels awaits!

Mad driving, mad parking and surprisingly our hotel was just a
couple blocks from the parking lot, how lucky. We totally pigged out for
lunch. Steak, croquettes, salad, bread, beer. And we got lucky again
because our hotel room is the loft on the top floor and there's a
bathtub! A little wandering in our neighborhood, some dinner and snacks from the market end today, not too eventful. Now it's time to lay in the
tub with the big windows open to the sky and enjoy the thunderstorm. A
full moon on the equinox does make it a magical night.

Day 16

Oh no! Poor John has a cold and was up all night with a fever. It musta
been that boat. We definitely took it easy this morning and stayed
around the hotel, two different coffee stops and a little shopping
(Marleah bought a shiny metallic gold dress!) and then back to the room
for lounging and reading. Hours later and hungry we strolled to the
Grand Place, a splendid market square filled with Flemish Renaissance
buildings and right off of that is Rue des Bouchers, a really cool
narrow restaurant alley. We ate mussels, french fries and sausage and
drank beer at a place called Chez Leon and we were totally happy. That
meal was worth the trip to Belgium!

Our night was all about laying in bed, reading and eating ice cream. Isn't that why people go on vacations? We think so!
