Belgium or Bust

After London it was onto the Eurostar to Brussels! Warned by many that it was a boring city (there certainly were alot of grey nomads about) we were pleasantly surprised. Had a fantastic hotel, gorged on chocolates and waffles and beer (Tim) we also went to a traditional brewery here and sampled the local beer, Lambic a room temperature flat beer! Very good actually.

We took a day trip to medieval Ghent where we climbed the local bell tower circa 1200 and something for the most amazing views ever! Watched some rowing races down the main canal and had some more waffles.....mmm waffles.... oh and some lovely churches of course.
