We just spent a weekend in Brussels, the exciting capital of Belgium, which served as a good central point for a reunion with some of the European-based guys we travelled across America with. After a day enjoying the city we took a day trip out to Bruges which was just as thrilling.

We started this travel blog in 2005 when we set off on a ten-month around-the-world trip with a couple of backpacks and not much else. In 2008, we emigrated to New Zealand with four suitcases and a guitar and spent the first month travelling throughout the country, from Auckland to Christchurch, via a roundabout route.
