Morning: Since it was our last day in Brugge and we really really enjoyed our stay here in this small old town, we made a point to wake up earlier to have breakfast w Anouchka before she leaves for work cos we wont be seeing her when she's off work. Said our goodbyes to her and proceed to leave the house early to cover the rest of the town we missed. First stop is at the Markt Square where every Wed there's a fruit & vegetable market in the morning. When we cycled there, the square was packed w people and it was really colourful w lots of beautiful flowers on sale, there's also fresh meat and fruits everywhere. We bought some food for dinner tonite & headed to the next stop.

Afternoon: Groeninge Museum (the one that we came yesterday) is the highly-recmd one where paintings by Flemish artists are displayed, we walked around for abt an hour & we cycled on to the nearby Church of Our Lady to see Michelangelo's famous statue 'Madonna & Child'. It immediately caught my eye as we step in and the precious statue is guarded by bullet-proof glass. Walked around the church & when it's about 2pm, we cycled on to our next stop back at the Heilig-Bloedbasiliek to see the few drops of coagulated blood of Jesus Christ. It only comes out @ 2-3pm everyday so we have to plan our time properly. Luckily we were one of the first few to arrive and go up the pedestal to touch the sacred capsule! So blessed! cos after that a huge group of students came in and we expect a long queue forming after we leave. We then returned our bikes that made our butts really painful and walked to our lunch restaurant. We decided to have mussels again at the market square but this time round it wasn't as good as the Brussels one and is much more expensive. So we didnt feel really satisfied w the lunch at all, and since we still had abt an hour to spare, we chose one of the many streets from the square and walked till we reached this shop that is crowded w lots of people. Then we realised that it's an ice)cream parlour selling cheap ice-cream a lots of flavours to choose from, of course we had to join in the crowd as typical Singaporeans do when they see a long queue. Flavours like Mars, Snickers, Ferrero Rocher are really interesting but too sweet for my liking so i chose Stacchiato or something along that line. It was good and we walked on w the ice-cream in hand. Time to walk back and we packed and left the house at 5:30pm, took the bus to the train station and waited for the train to Antwerp to arrive.

Night: 6:20pm the train left the station and it got delayed for abt 20mins to Antwerp. Met Yuri, our Antwerp host at the train station and he brought us to his 4th-flr apartment near the station. After we settled down, we chatted w Yuri and realised he's very into cooking, likes DJing as a hobby, learns Tai-chi for 6yrs, is a freelancer in translation and is multi-lingual in English, Spanish, Dutch & French! And also he's into Asian movies and has some DVDs of House of Flying Daggers, Crouching Tiger, Korean movies that we like too. So we all had fun chatting abt the films we like and Asian stuffs thru the rest of the night.
