Vienna schnitzel
at a famous restaurant Figlmueller One of the things we decided early on is to have and drive a car throughout Europe and see as many interesting places as we can. After spending some wonderful time with our families in Novi Sad, we continued our journey to Zurich. Since Novi Sad - Zurich is approximately 1300 km (800 miles), we split the trip in three days, with two stops in Austria: first one in Vienna and the second one in Salzburg.
Vienna is an amazing city! The architecture, culture, history, food, everything is well worth exploring and enjoying, if you have time. Since we only spent one afternoon and half of the morning the next day, we couldn't possibly see everything. However, what we saw was great and we stopped for a famous Vienna schnitzel (or Wiener schnitzel), which is the size of a small/medium pizza, but quite juicy and soft. Also, I couldn't resist going to at least one (or two) patisseries and trying some famous cakes (see pics). I didn't try the famous Saher cake, 'cause I know it well, and it's great, but I think there are waaay better cakes to try there - I just took a picture in front of the
Saher hotel/restaurant 😊.
