mtbo poland and now austria

one day more than yday...

now in vienna after good train trip from prague to vienna. 4 hours on pendolino tilt train....nice ride and sort of interesting scenery..flat out of czech at first then a steady climb thru pines then flat then more climb then flat.

hot as when i got here..32 degrees so took cab ride to place im at instead of 3 sets of tubes etc. 15 euro so not to bad. no meter i just said how much at start and thought that sounds okay..probably too much but my luggage is weigh to heavy.

first impressions of vienna is not as spectacular as prague..although that is probably unfair. prague is more gothic whereas vienna is definately regal.

strolled thru main area this arvo..have full day 2moror but a bit worn ouit by it all. want to get back to mtbo and get back home now. found out im not on starting lists so trying to sort that. it means last start which means late dinner for them if im not back.

had scary moment at prgaue metro last nite..soem apsengers transiting between stations were being acosted by thugs demanding ticket..i said no and made to go past and got told ticket dhead..tried to go around a pillar but he went one way and barred route so i took off back down escaltors and up platform and out another exit..got the pulse rate going...then when back at hotel had window open and heard peeps saying no cops around this is tourist hotel..so locked door more securely.
