I started off the morning at Zum Kirchenwirt in the usual manner: soft boiled egg, hard roll, fresh butter, a couple of slices of cheese and sandwich meats washed down with orange juice. Even though the sun seemed to be setting at a normal time (around 8:30) in this part of Europe. it would still remain light outside until close to 10 pm.

More about this "great" free parking spot in the next day's story. Little did we realize Austria has a few jerks living there too.

No complaints about the resolution on my digital camera. What a great investment. I may use my Samsung phone for most pictures these days but the dedicated camera still gives the superior quality.

After crossing the river into Emmersdorf we got our last glance at the abbey before heading up into the hills where our farm stay would occur.

Is it pronounced "Achoo"? Well God bless them anyway. We learned that the inhabitants of this itty bitty village take turns having to get up at first light to ring the bells of this church and awaken the other farmers. I'd hire a proxy.

It certainly doen't look like a hotel but it proved to be just as comfortable and way cheaper than the Gasthofs in Melk. Once again I think I did good.

Staying on this farm was a unique and fun experience. These Austrian cows smelled a whole lot better than their American cousins. They were also friendlier than Austrian dogs.

We were so ready for bed that we forgot to photo document our room. It was quite large with a really nice bathroom and shower. We were given the same toiletries we'd get in a regular hotel plus farm-made soap. I gave Willi and Christina a glowing review on Booking.com.
