This is the view we had at Sarah's birthday dinner as we were eating out on the patio near the plaza. (Dinner=$1, 2 Beers=$1, View=priceless) Sorry, just like the fact that everything is so cheap here!
I was very excited when I was told that our showers were going to have hot water as that is somewhat of a luxury in Central America. Sarah however informed me that it would be wise not to touch the shower head as the water is heated by electricity. Some how it seems to me that that was not very well thought out. Not to worry however, Jill and I took a shower at the same time and blew the electricity. Cold showers...brrrr. Jill and I promptly went to the school to let them know what had happened and they assured us someone would be there to fix it by the afternoon (as I am backtracking now, because I finally have my computer fixed, I can tell you that the electricity was fixed two days later). On the way home we stopped and bought Honduran soccer jerseys for a grand total of $3 or 4 something each and then we went to get frosties and fries at Wendy's. Yes, Comayagua has a Wendy's. After lunch we high tailed it home (a twenty minute or so brisk walk from the school) so we could meet the new teachers that were arriving that

afternoon. Jeff (from Canada), Kari (from Colorado), and Nadia (from Canada) arrived in the late afternoon and we all went out to eat for Sarah's 24th Birthday. We discovered the local beer called Port Royal which is brewed right here in Honduras. Its quite tasty. After drinking a good share of Port Royals we returned to the house for birthday cake. Unfortunately the key they gave us for the back door (they were changing the locks on the front door) wouldn't work, so we enlisted the help of the security guard to help us break into our own house. Once we were in we feasted on birthday cake bought at a local bakery (the have got their baked goods down to an art form here) and danced around in the living room. Sarah and I stayed up to talk for another hour and then went upstairs to promptly pass out from exhaustion.

We have spare rooms
As of right now, we have a spare room in the house. I would love for you to come visit. If you don't want to stay with a group of crazy teachers however, there are nice hotels with ac for $15 dollars a night. The most expensive hotel, that has a nice pool and everything is only a grand total of $45 dollars a night :) Bring on the Port Royal and shopping (i forgot to mention, aunt sandy, that cute clothes are also very inexpensive here).
