Too bad it's so cold up there

Here we are, complaining, not really though, about how hot things are. So hot, the brush on the hills self ignites, and burns off. We are seeing the Artic blast however on TV, so we are grateful not to be up there. Thanks to our neighbours for looking in at the house.

We'll be leaving here, and ambling down thru the Central Valley for our final week. The weather there is 70 / 80, and never varies. We'll be having a look at our friends' new home ...the design is stunning. Plus, we can check out sites we haven't seen, such as the Gold Museum, and Zoo Avenue .. a home for injured and previously captive native animals. Right up our alley.

I am trying to report a caged Toucan kept in the back of a souvenir shop to the Tourism Ministry, as it's illegal to capture them. However, the law isn't necessarily enforced, but I shall keep trying. The poor thing had no room.

Back at the "villa", we are feeding three wild cats, not very exotic, but they live at the resort. All 150 of them.

We'll have one more look at some housing condos here, but, we really can't see being here in Guanacaste over the long haul. I think this trip has certainly helped us realize that we a) love our home, family and friends, and B) hate cold weather, and c) no where is perfect, so forget uprooting ourselves. Rent if you have to, or HomeExchange. Don't buy.

At least we're unwinding, and not suffering thru the Artic blasts of winter! SO long for now...
