NEVER EVEN BEEN NEAR A BANANA AND FULL OF E NUMBERS!
After another early morning dip we drove through the rainforest up to the far north east of the island. I kept seeing signs on the Atlantic side which warned of the Portuguese Man O'War Jellyfish. But I wasn't worried about these. I was more concerned about the Barracudas! As soon as we got too Charlotteville, we went in search of a recommended cappuccino café. We found it and I had a delicious watermelon milkshake! Emily had Fanta, but it wasn't your ordinary Fanta. It was bright orange, yet it was banana flavoured! We stopped for another traditional Creole lunch in Speyside. I had a lovely home made pumpkin and coconut ice cream. When we got back to the villa, we took our snorkelling gear down to our local beach, Bloody Bay, and had a bit of a practice. Within seconds, Emily had lost one of her fins, so luckily they weren't expensive. We decided just to have a little practice, as the water was so murky you pretty much couldn't see your hand in front of your face! About 5 minutes later, Emily lost her other fin too, so we decided the practice was over. We had a little swim

in the sea instead.
Later that evening, we socialised with the owners of the house, and had a chat about the best snorkelling places and the local hikes and walks. We found out some interesting information about where to snorkel. One of the places they recommended was Castara beach, about 15 - 20 minute drive down the road from where we were staying in Bloody Bay. Had tea then went too bed.
PS We make Mum do a Gecko check every evening now just in case!
