We arrived in the Tobago cays around 1000 hours. I cannot start to describe this area. Best way Pete could express himself was saying it looked like atolls. It is just beautiful. You have the atlantic ocean with a huge reef in front of us and 3 very small islands. The reef goes for miles....It is a little tricky coming in here.
We plan to be here overnight, and maybe tomorrow as well. Weather permitting. We are anchored between Petit Rameu and Petit Bateau. In 22 feet of depth.
We had an early lunch, getting ready to put dinghy in water, and go do some snorkeling. You are not allowed to take anything live or dead from here, it is a park. There are boat boys around selling ice, fish, lobster, etc. And 99 per cent of the boats anchored are charters, European. We are getting to hate them. Prices are so high this time of the year. The park charges 4 EC per person or 15 US for 24 hour stay. There are some areas roped off.
