The Dock to get to Bocas, Panama
Our long ass wait to get the island in PanamaGreetings everyone!
Not yesterday, but the day before I traveled with Vince and Maja to Panama! We headed out from Rockin J's (our hostels name) at 10:30 or so only to miss the bus to Sixaola by 10 minutes. So we smoozed at the beach for a few hours and jumped on the bus to the border. It was a easy cross, not too much time, only 5 bucks for Americans (I think we are the only Nationality that has to pay to cross into Panama... probally left over Canal business...). We got talked into taking a collective taxi to the next town to catch the last boat to Bocas Del Toro, because in reality we could have takken the bus... We sat at the dock for over an hour! Either way we made it to the island, and the closer we got, the more clear the water became! You can see down pretty far almost everywhere! We found a cheap hotel (the hostel was full) and just chilled out. Yesterday we went to the nearest beach and got a few Pina Coladas and some nachos and got sun burnt on a beautiful beach. Maja decided Vince needed to clean up his Italian eyebrows, so some seriosu surgery was going down.. head out to another island to do some snorkeling perhaps.
Panama is a beautiful country, I cant wait to see more! It looks like the computers here have the equiptment to be able to load photos, so maybe tomorrow Ill come back and upload my pictures.
Much love to everyone! And Bobby, I used my little market bag a billion times so far, it comes in handy at the beach too! The sand just falls right out!
