Hi everybody, thanks for the messages. We´re doing fine, we´re at Lago de Yojoa now at the D &D Brewery which is very nice. It´s owned by a guy named Bob who moved here from Oregon and started a microbrewery and lodge. We had a nice cabin last night, but may need to switch to a room today as a lot of people were coming out here because of the storm. As you probably know Hurricane Felix hit Nicaragua today as a Cat 5 and will be down to a tropical storm today if it isn´t already. It had been predicted to hit the island Utila where we were up until yesterday when we left and came here. Now it looks like the lake will be getting more rain than the island! Figures. The island was absolutely beautiful. We stayed at a dive shop with a great dock with a bar and hammocks on the water. I (noel) dove Sunday at 2 great reefs and saw lots of sea life and Mike was able to come on our boat and snorkel. Excited to go snorkeling! get in, the captain spotted a pod of dolphins so we put on our snorkel gear and jumped in with them! we snorkeled with them for probably close to a half hour and got really close! We could hear them talking to each other, it was amazing!!! We fell in love with the island, but then heard about the storm and the mayor had declared a mandatory evac for tourists, so we left early yesterday morning. We may try to head back later because it was paradise, but we´ll see where we end up. Gotta run now to try and do some hiking before the rain starts. We´ll update later. Miss you guys and we´ll keep you posted. Happy belated bday jake, sorry I couldn´t talk to you yesterday.
Love, Mike & Noel
