Approaching an active volcano is at the same time an exciting and challenging experience, for the real danger you face every second.
The situation is absolutely unpredictable and the visitor’s emotion is strong.
For many years the Pacaya volcano has been dreading, frightening and enchanting people. As it is close to the capital (35 Kilometers), it is visited everyday by students, alpinists, nature lovers and by tens of foreign tourists, captured by the beauty of this “Monster”, continuously under transformation.
