Kite Boarding in Cabarete

I have seen some recent posts here from Cabarete. Cabarete is a great little tonw on theNorth Coast of the DR. It is famous for both Wind Surfing and Kite Boarding. A few years back I shot some Kite boarding on Kite Beach in Cabarete the day before the Grand Prix. It was tough shooting video in obviously heavy wind, while shooting full telefoto and standing in the surf. The Kite Boarding Video came out pretty decent and we posted it on www.dr-tourist.tv

Cabarete also has a bunch of bars and restaurants right on the beach. Many are a bit overpriced tourist type places, but they can be fun and the food is decent. Across the main road there are some more affordable places to eat. There is a german place right on the main drag that is probably the best value food wise.
