Sorry for the big delay.
So this past week was absolutely crazy with 3 concerts in 3 days. The first concert, on Thursday, was canceled due to the choir from Panama not being able to get here in time. That concert was supposed to be held in the University and I was planning to run over after my dance class, but sadly it was not to be. :p
Friday was for the Susan G. Korman Breast Cancer Association here in Costa Rica. It was a lot of fun and we ended up traveling to this Childrens Museum in San Jose that was actually a former prison. It was really pretty amazing to see the entrance at night because they lit torches down this huge tunnel you needed to walk through to enter the museum. You got chills as you walked through, it was so amazing.
The weekend consisted of this amazing choir trip to Monteverde. If you dont know what Monteverde is famous for, it's the landscape and the biological preserve. They are know for their natural beauty and the different endangered species there. The bus trip up was a lot of fun, we got lost twice and
crazy friends
lol here we go the whole time was like a giant party due to all our friends chatting, sharing music, singing, etc. When we arrived at Monteverde we got assigned to stay in these luxurious rooms with an amazing view of the valley (granted we had to climb a lot to reach the view).
That very night I saw a restaurant that was composed by a huge tree. The entire roof of the restaurant was the branches of the tree and it looked like something the Swiss Family Robinson would have used. It was right across from the cathedral we were going to be singing at. The church itself was kind of small but definitely the pride of the town; however what surprised me the most was the fact that during the communion I heard "Blowing in the Wind" by Bob Dylan. That church had some of the best acoustics we have sang in yet, and that whole day was pretty special.
The next day we went out to a ranch that the choir director's friend owned. It was a touristy ranch but had a lot of fun things to do. We had an amazing meal served on a banana leaf that

view from the hotel was lunch. My favorite part of it was the chimichurri. Then the rest of the people in the group went and did horseback riding while the more selective group ended up serenading some of the ranch visitors with classical music from Costa Rica. After we finished that, I went horseback riding (think trot to a gallop) which was absolutely insane! and got to sit upon a gigantic ox with a hump.
The bus ride back was so quiet because everybody was exhausted and sleeping. So much fun!
