This was taken BEFORE the very first Eagles game. Notice we are all smiles and very excited for an awesome game!
It's been exactly three weeks since we've arrived here in Jaco and yet it feels like only a few days have gone by. We've had a great experience living the Costa Rican lifestyle and meeting some new friends during our stay. Since we've arrived our jobs have ranged from cleaning rooms to painting them, fixing and replacing screens, some gardening and yard work and some general maintence around the hotel. We met a couple from Holland Netherlands, Roscoe and Femke, and had our first double date of the trip. We're hoping to meet back up with them towards the end of our trip and spending time with them in their hometown and around Amsterdam. During another night out after a tough eagles loss we made some friends from Austrailia, Dean and Gemma, who were on their honeymoon. They helped us with our first hangovers since leaving the states. The weather has been beautiful, sunny for most of the day and then some rain during the evening. One thing we will not miss is the humidity. It's amazing how much a person can sweat even while they are sleeping. We will certainly miss our first home away from home but are equally

The game was not going as well as we hoped, but we sure did like the greasy American food.
excited to be heading to Panama for a week Of exploring. Our hosts Sandra and her daughter Naomi were as kind and welcoming as anyone could be and were awesome people to start our workaday experience with. We wish them all the best and hope to see them again sometime in the future.

This is by far our favorite tent spot in Jaco. Just steps away from our hotel.

Costa Rican buses... you get what you pay for. Very unpredictable! One Friday night we spent 2 hours waiting for a bus that either never came or blew right by us. But if you do get lucky and you catch it, it only costs the price of half a beer to travel an hour and a half!

Hello Mr. Crab

I found this guy instead of a gronala bar for one day for breakfast. These crabs like to come out in the morning in our garden and sometimes like to sneak into our room! Cool but he almost gave me a heart attack!

We ate a restaurant that bought an American plane that was shot down in the 80s over Nicaragua that now sits in the middle of the restaurant. It has a bar in it and turns into a club at night.

The best part of the night after the Eagles game was meeting this lovely couple that just got married too from Austrailia.

Kev definitely should have been a cheerleader back in the day!
