We are up before sunrise so Steve is able to snag a few great sunrise shots of the Sun coming up over the mountains of Costa Rica. They have us all assembled in the grand theater of the ship by 0630, and we wait…. And wait…. And wait…. Finally the Captain comes on and tells us they are having some issues getting the ship tied alongside due to the massive tidal currents here, and we’ll be off soon. At 0800 (lots of lost sleep here sports fans!) we head to our Busscar for a one-hour ride to a National Park for a nature hike and tram ride in a Costa Rican rain forest/jungle, followed by a boat ride in the “Tarcoles Crocodile River,” which we will find out is quite aptly named.
