Puerto Viajo - feb 20

Recap. Went up the volcano Irazu the day before yesterday. 3400 m!! Got a little altitude sick when trying to run up a 100 m trail. Do not jump into exercise at that altitude!! lol. It was beautiful but boring. No trails to go on, etc. Just a long bus ride there and back and 20 bucks later... but i´m glad i went. Really beutiful vista.

Yesterday popped onto a bus to Puerto Viajo, was suppose to stay somewhere but couldn´t get a hold of the person- some lady selling a farm on the internet?? long story, don´t ask... so we waddled around town with my 40lbs!!! grabbed a bear. got really dark. waddled around more. until we settled on a 5 dollar dorm. still there now. coming into the town last night the sun was setting. Beautiful!! Carribean weather, gorgeous beach, but my massive back pack kept me ashore... today its been raining cats and dogs so no beach no fun... just did some yoga. the owner´s daughter here was kind enough to lend me her electronic drum kit so i hit that for a couple hours. so people think i´m this wierd crazy drummer, yoga, martial art chick. i want to move to another hostel down the street but feel wierd cause we´re all friendly with owner here. the other place is 2 dollars more and no hot water and far, but is on the beach and total groovy party central... hmmmmm.... i might go see a farm tommorow- if its raining. 1 week in CR and still not 1 day in the sun!!! at least it warm here. was freezing my ass off in the valley of san jose. its 1100 m there. here its nice but night was a little cool i slept with clothes over my pjs, currled tightly in a ball. could use my monkey to keep me warm. love u.

hmmm what else. beer is a little pricier here. dammit!! mmmm... having guanava or guanarana or whatever they are called shakes, with vodka its better but 1000 more, thats 2 buck US. pricy... but have been saving on food. been eatin the same piece of chees and sausage with loaves of bread, tomatoe, and a cucumber for 3 days now. sandawiches and beer are my stapple. soon i´ll spring for a soup. mmmm... and i´ve run out of chocolate. serious offence.
