The bus
The group in the bus............Dit is de groep in de bus unfortunately my last blog has disappeared?? I will see if Martin can recover it. But I mentioned there that I had a trip coming up. Neckermann needed a Dutch guide who can speak Spanish as well. There you go...........ME! It was a 10 day tour from the East coast to the west. Martin came a long as the photographer.
First I had to go to San Jose and wave my little Neckermann sign around and hope my group would be a great bunch of people. They turned out fine. The youngest being 23 and the oldest 31. So let's go to a bar in town and talk about our tour and get to know each other a bit. After a few beers and juices, everyone was ready for bed. The next day was an early morning up to Tortuguero. Breakfast was on the way and everyone was curious about the gallo pinto (rice and beans..local bf) Then we were drop off at a river where we continued our trip by boat. Right through the jungle, to get to our jungle cabins. Basic but fun.
After we settled in and had lunch the boat brought us to the town, small and no
Gallo Pinto
In line for the famous Gallo Pinto breakfast.............In de rij voor het beruchte Gallo Pinto ontbijt cars. Here we arranged the tickets for our "turtle watching" night.
After dinner we went to the beach, whispering and walking slowly to see many turtles scoot on to the beach and dig a hole with their hind flippers. It was amazing. She puts over a hundred eggs in there and then closes the hole and leaves, back in to the big ocean. Everyone was really exited and we were all happy campers when we crawled into our cracking beds at midnight. The next day we had a nice climb into the jungle up the mountain to get a great view of the area. Then another tour on the river to spot monkeys, snakes, alligators and lots of birds.
After dinner we couldn't resist. the back of our hotel is attached to the beach, so very quietly the group moved onto the beach and sat on their knees to see about 8 turtles gliding right in front of us, up to the green line to dig their holes. You have to see this for your selves, it's a natures wonder.............................The next day up to Cahuita!>>>>>>>>..........................

Delmonte
Nee! beetje jammer he Mart???
