Hi everyone,

How are you ? we would like to hear that....
We are doing great, getting some guests and in between we are doing a lot of other things.

Thanks to the people who send us the grape cuttings from Holland. Twelve out of fourteen are getting leaves, so we have to find a place in the sun and without a lot of wind for them to grow. Maybe in a couple of years we will have our own grapes....can’t wait. Our neighbours surprised us with black berries from their garden hmmm, we’ll get a cutting from that one too. Looks like we’re gonna have a fruit garden huh ? sounds good to me !

Our old cat Flekkie, which we brought with us from Holland, died after 18 years. She had a nice time around here but we still miss her offcourse. She wouldn’t eat anymore and was loosing a lot of weight. One day she walked away and we never found her again.
And then some very good news too, our other cat Chica had her baby’s. There five of them and they are so very cute ! Willeke watched the whole thing and Chica let her, it was great to be next to her when she had the babys, which took her two hours. They are still in the box, and were born on March 19th, the eyes are open and they are crawling around in the box. One could just sit there all day and look at them, but...there’s also work to be done...yes, actually we do work sometimes haha

Right now we are painting our house on the outside. It was white and not nice anymore, and since we live in a tropical country we thought we’d smack some colours on the outside as well. It’s a lot of work because there’s some wood there too, which had to be sanded and varnished first. So we asked our neighbour to make us a scaffelding to make life and work a lot easier, that works !

Then we had the yearly fiesta in our town, a lot of music, food and everynight a rodeo ! sunday is THE main night, there are a lot of people and it’s a lot of fun to watch the guys sit on the big bulls. Fiesta’s last here for a week and every town has

one, so you can go from one place to another and enjoy yourselve while meeting friends.

We also had another babyshower, went to Monteverde Cloudforest, had a cocktailparty, are in the curtain/pillowcases making business, and are enjoying every minute of our stay here.

Don’t forget to send Kees a card for his birthday, which is on the 22nd of April....

Until next month, looking forward to your emails which will describe your adventures....
Sunny regards,
Kees and Willeke
