Hola hola,

Gelukkig nieuwjaar en veel geluk en gezondheid in 2008 !
Het hele verhaal hebben jullie allemaal natuurlijk al gelezen dus deze keer alleen de foto's. Vanwege de stroomuitval ook niet verkeerd...het gaat aan en uit...het word nu al weer beter gelukkig. Gebeurt niet zo vaak dat er zo'n orkaan langs raast en bomen omver doet waaien die op telefoon/electriciteitskabels vallen.....hmmm

Hola hola,

Happy New Year and a lot of happiness and good health for 2008 !
We have been very busy in december, lot of guests (very nice !) and also we made X-Mas dinner for 12 people including ourselves....turkey for the first time, and that went well. It was a fun meal and then we had a party for new year's eve, half dutch and half americans. Now we know for sure who the party people really are.......
Anyway, just a short one this time because power is on / off all the time because a hurricane past us by which made a lot of trees fall down, some on electricity wires...

Kerststukken voor op de twee eettafels gemaakt, we hadden buffet en dan is de tafel zo leeg.....

Ook de afwas hoort erbij, helaas nog geen vaatwasser.....Doing the dishes is part of the job, unfortunately no dishwasher (yet)...

bord met kalkoen en jus, aardappels, rijstvulling van koen en groenten...jammie......................Plate with turkey and gravy, potatoes, ricefilling from the turkey and vegetables....yammie

Art Fair
Kettingen en schilderijen verkopen....Selling necklaces and paintings on an Art Fair in a hotel close by

orchidee / orchid
Bloeit voor het eerst sinds twee jaar...we dachten al dat het niks zou worden maar toch !.......First flowers since two years, we didn't think it was going to happen...

Stoelen / Chairs
Vier van deze stoelen bekleed, je kunt het verschil wel zien tussen oud en nieuw....
We put new fabric on four of these chairs, you can tell the difference between old and new.....

Poezen / Cats
Flekkie en Chica gezamenlijk op een bank...gebeurt niet veel.....Flekkie and Chica together on one couch, that is rare....

Oud en Nieuw / New year's eve
Daar staan ze dan...de oliebollen en appelflappen ! ..........typical dutch food, oliebollen !

Wat een gezelligheid!! echt op z'n Hollands!
HOi Kees en Willeke, Nou, die Kerst en Nieuwjaars gasten hebben geboft zeg! Kerst met tropische bloemen op tafel.. EN... kalkoen.. ! Turkey and all the trimmings! Lucky people who visited during the Christmas season! We, the Dutch, may be a little strange.. but we do know how to have a good time. Happy New Year! May it be a fantastic and prosperous year.
