During the last couple of days in the villa the waves were huge out the back.
Morning!

Well, we're sitting in a reclining sun chair under a canopy that shelters our outside kitchen which is a few yards from the sea. The sun is shining and caribbean music is playing, it feels as though we're in heaven.

Caye Caulker is a tiny island just off the coast of Belize City. There are three main roads; Front Street, Middle Street and Back Street which you can walk barefoot. If you're feeling lazy you can catch a golf car taxi, that's the quickest way to travel as there are no cars or you can hire peddle bikes. Today we snorkled up to The Lazy Lizard bar which has a couple of tables in the water. People laughed as we approached then sat in our snorkle gear taking in the tropical turquoise sea.

The roads are sandy, lined with wooden shacks selling fruit, breads, tacos, chicken - we've not tried them all just yet. Our initial thoughts were to leave tomorrow, but we've talked ourselves in to staying another week.

Most of the bars have hammocks and swinging chairs - awesome way to chill. We've met loads of people already, Manuel sticking out. He's a local who heard that we were playing backgammon, he was so enthusiatic that he came to our place (Blue Wave Guest House) to play with us. He also taught us how to play a variation on backgammon called ace duce. It's been keeping us amused for hours. Tonight Manuel has invited us to join him and his friends for an evening of playing.

Today there was an octopus right next to the bar and two monitor lizards near to the loo. A guys said that they're known by the locals as Wishing Willy!!!

Anywhoo, must dash.. I need to go and beat Steve at backgammon.

Love

Titles
Hmmm....don't you think you might have set yourself a rather high bar with the blog titles? First "Jamaica Me Crazy", now this? You've got a whole world to go round, surely you can't pun all the way? ;) Oh and similarly with backgammon - don't burn yourself out too fast, I've been waiting for years to play with you guys and I'll want a few games in Goa!

I can't Belize it
Hi. We've actually got some sun here, so I'm not completely jealous. But you do need gloves and things to stop pieces dropping off. Sounds great there, but I'm not sure about the barefoot walking. Pictures are great, especially of the waves. Lots of love. Cyril xx
