We left the Trek Stop, San Ignacio at 7am, and caught a public bus which took us through the Belize capital Belmopan, and on to Belize City.

From the Marina in Belize City, it was a speed boat trip to the Island of Caye Caulker. We arrived at around 2pm, to the Indigo waters and palms trees. Paradise!!! Belize has the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world, so here is a snorkerlers paradise too.

After checking in to the hotel, I walked up the main road, had lunch, and then hired a Kayak, and went out to sea. It was beautiful, very warm, and the sea was fantastic. There are many tropical fish around the reefs. After an hour or so I came back, and went for another swim, checking out the fish and trying to take pictures with my re-found camera! Again it was great just to be in a truly beautiful place, watching the sunset, and then out for another nice meal. The Island is a little more touristy again though, and the prices match this. One of the most famous attractions is the incredible Blue Hole, a hole in the sea amongst the Coral, and

A small rockpool on the beach, but with tropical fish!
from the various pictures of it on postcards and paintings all around the Island, it looks amazing. The Island is in the Caribbean Sea, so there is also a strong laid back Caribbean atmosphere here.

Wednesday 29th, my friends decided to go snorkelling ( which they swam with Sharks, Sting Rays and other tropical fish! One friend went to the Blue Hole for a dive, and on the way back saw two hump back whales!! ), but I just wanted to sit on the beach and go for a swim. I did this, until unexpectedly it started raining!! Rain in Paradise!!!??!! So I got up and went to a bar, where luckily Man Utd where just about to kick off against West Ham, paradise again!!!! The rest of the day I met my friends and just chilled around the Island. Again I think pictures are the best way to explain.... aaahhhh
