It all happened on an impulse. I had finished watching Bollywood's flick "Waris Shah." The movie was so touching that I decided to pay homage to the deceased saint. So I set out to visit the tomb of Waris Shah. While returning back to Lahore I stopped over at "Hiran Minar." This Moghul-era garden is situated at the outskirts of Sheikhupura. It was built during the period of Shah Jehan (the same emperor who had Taj Mahal built for his beloved wife Mumtaaz). The Minar itself was constructed in the reign of Jehangir to honour a deer (named Mansraaj). Here are a couple of pictures that I took.
