good luck brave sir I think it is great that you are taking your family on such an adventure. It will definately give them some perspective. I met a single mother while travelling in cambodia doing a 5 month bike trip across South East Asia with her two kids (9 and 11 years old). Sounds crazy and possibly unsafe but they seemed to be having a blast. I have fond memories of my travels to the isle of ske, though the hostel gave me bed bugs it was definatley one of the most beautiful parts of the world I have seen to date. Good Luck with the trip!
