MEMORIES A big hello to you two voyagers ! A thank-you for sending me your blog as i do enjoy reading it as it brings back MULTI memories of Marnie and my canal cruising. WE first met in Antalya, Turkey where you were doing extensive modification to Swara and met again on the Rhone in Lyon. It was here you had your very black cat up a tyree. To resume the cat you borrowed my ladder off of Nayiri. Up you went and coming down, stepping off of the last rung there was squid--my oh my. WE all had a hearty laugh--LOL. Do keep in touch. Now that you are 65, your pension money can be spent on that fabulous french wine and cognac or brandy . By the way a Armanac brandy is as good as the cognacs. Pleasant travels and experiences. Denis and I send our love to you both.. Mabyn told us about your blogg. Denis and I can't wait to tell Jenny and Richard who visited Australia for a few weeks last year. Nothing like your lifelong adventure. So glad we shared prime time with you both before you escaped the country. Your parties were always the best!! Big hugs!! Joyce
The good life Sounds like you have found it. France is a magic place and there are some nice canals leading into Belgium where the range of beers (some 2500 of them) are excellent. Must be planing on staying away for a while now you have a dog although he looks like a great mate. Not at all sure about the low temperatures and ice and snow "uck". Great to hear about your adventures.

Another great travel story. Hi there Marg and Peter, This was a great read and pleased that everything is going well. With the French summer approaching life on board the canal barge should be super.
Keep the travellers tales going. Best regards John and Colleen.
Great blog! Hello Peter and Margaret,
We love reading your blog and it's great to catch up on what you have been doing.
We are still in New Caledonia, living on our boat and plan to go back to Australia in 2016 as we have been granted permanent residency.
Hope to read more of your adventures ! Denis and Veronica
Congratulations! Hi Peter and Margaret and Amigo, so glad all went relatively well and you are enjoying la vie en France. Great blog, keep it up. Hope boat preps go smoothly and must be fun to do new fit out. We are on our way south to Pangkor for 3 months for haul out and land travel. Will email. Bon chance, Christine & Keith
Well done. Love your plans. Hope you didn't take the mast out of Swara this time before you left it. Did you leave your car in the carpark at Langkawi, and if so is the key still in it?
