Medellin, Colombia 2011-2012 An Overview to Begin

2 trips & 6 months 2007 & 2010-11 in Medellin.
Retirement, Business, Volunteer, or all in 2011?

Tenis, off-road biking, acuatics, spinning, gym, cafes, women, amigos, Spanish.
Travel:
Last year Spirit Air. But it is out this time. From Vancouver on Amtrak> SEA>Fll on SWA or JetBlue then SpiritAir. Cheaper but bad connections.
This year Continental. Tried online but the return flight was 4 planes, called up and paid the $25 fee for them to book it. She found (or created) 3 planes 2 connections 3 hours total terminal time. Nov 3, 2011 > Mar 31, 2012. $1167. I joined the air miles club that might factor into something cheaper in future.


Remember if anyone offers to take you somewhere your at risk, it is a common ploy, That said after 20 mins of chatting with a 30ish Colombiano (school teacher) last trip we went to his place for coffee and I ended up dating his lovely mother for a bit.
