Well, we had a lack of turkey drippings since we only used turkey breasts so Jackie threw some wine in there (we were going to cook the turkey in the wine but we didn't). It was red wine hence the purplish tone. I don't know how she made it. I think she just threw things together so I your lucky I don't know the recipe or else we'd be having purple gravy from now on at Thanksgiving.
purple gravy? I've seen many versions of gravy but never purple! What did you do??? Maybe that is one recipe you should leave in Italy. And Florence is one of the places we need to add to our future to do list. It sounds like someplace that needs more time to explore. Counting down the days till you are home, but I hope you are packing in as much as you can and taking time to enjoy the moment.
November 21, 2007 Tracy: I enjoyed reading your blog about your trip and studies. What an opportunity. Did you know "tutti" is a musical term. It means "It's time for everyone to play" It's usually placed after an extended solo passage. How awesome you got to hear an opera. They really are quite silly. You should see it with English subtitles. Happy Thanksgiving!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING Tracy,
Sounds like you are doing okay, get through the papers and presentations so you can enjoy Italy!! I saw your mom's pictures from her trip to visit you, awesome. Have a wonderful time cooking and enjoy.

SOunds like you had a lot of fun with your mom tracy! I really enjoyed these pictures, a lot of those pieces of work you saw i learned about in my art history class this semester, so it is great to see you were there and an actual picture of it.

about time I had a wonderful time, too. It was beyond any of my expectations even if you "tried" to keep me away from the chocolate and it was cold. For the past 2 days people have been asking why there was nothing in your blog. It is about time you wrote about it, everyone at church and work kept visiting your blog to find out how my visit went. I said we were having too good of a time to stop to write, and when we stopped we collapased. So many steps and so little time!
With love, Mom
I have only bought 1 pair of shoes...something about fitting everything back in my suitcases is keeping me from buying more. I'm still on the look out for a nice pair of Pumas though.
I'm definitely getting credit for this experience. I'm taking all general electives so no education courses (it's my vacation from education!). Yeah, hanging out with my friends all the time, eating lots of good food, and travelling is really tough...yeah right ; )
Wow! I had no idea Italy is so beautiful. I am enjoying your pictures and notes. I am so glad your mom is coming to join you. One question, are you really getting credit for this!!! Tough, isn't it?
WOW!! I am so jealous. The closest I have ever gotten to Tuscany is the movie, Under the Tuscan Sun. And I was really jealous just watching the movie. I am glad you are having a great time. I love looking at your photos. All is well here!!
hey tracy,
Its good to hear that your still having fun
How is the workload? Sounds like you are still able to go and see great places, which is cool. I know what you mean about being surronded by grass and other green things. We get spoiled in Lancaster county.
valuable I think you will really appreciate this blog as part of your history. I hope you will print out a copy of the full thing for your scrapbook and enjoy sharing it with your children.
Love, Mom
denso? did they have a drink called a denso? because i had a really rich, thick chocolate drink at a cafe in auckland called an italian denso and it was INTENSE (i thought i would never eat or drink chocolate again..that turned out to be false)
Nice! Such gorgeous scenery! That apartment looks pretty sweet. And my mouth started watering at the sound of that Italian-made cappuccino! So glad your trip has started off well :-)
WOW!! The Pictures are fantastic!!! It is just like on the website...I am happy you are having fun. by the way, you are going to have some mega calf muscles climbing those stairs.
