We land in Quito and the next day we are already in the Galapagos. You really have the impression of being a world away from the one seen in a middle ground of Tolkien's memory, where wildlife is not only unusual but, above all, has unusual behavior. With a small cruise ship plow the ocean and visit some of the islands. We witness the dance of the blue-footed boobies, frigates observe dozens of red throat swells in search of love, swim with sea lions. On the whole the prevailing feeling of disbelief, tranquility, contact with nature, discovering a world threatened with extinction. We return to Quito and we are dedicated to Ecuador.
