Just Beautiful Looks like a very beautiful area. Sounds like you're still having lots of fun. Once school starts I hope you can still get away from time to time so we can still receive your blogs about more adventures that you are experiencing. Keep them coming.
Love Uncle Wally
It can't be all GREAT (that's reality) It's too bad that you have to experience the bad parts of a country that is sooo beautiful. Unfortunately that is a reality of life. I'm sure, though, when you look at the over all picture, the good out weighs the bad. Keep on experiencing life and just remember how lucky we are!!!! Love you and keep the blogs coming.

James' bar So glad you got to see his bar... he was just looking for a location and such when we met. Had a great time with him. Was his girlfriend with him?
Monkey Hut I loved the Monkey Hut and stayed overnite 2 nites I beleive. It was a highlight for me too. They had the same owners then but I think I remember them trying to sell the hut. Glad you had a great time
Love reading your blogs Sarah. I'm learning a lot from your adventures in Central America! It sure pulls at the heart strings when we see disadvantaged kids....doesn't it? I can understand with your innate love of children how much this must have upset you. Sadly, as you well know, our world is far from equitable.
Sounds great Glad to hear you're still experiencing new adventures, I am envious. I have been to Granada and it was absolutely beautiful. Vacations are great and I would love to be visiting a lot of the places that you have. One day I may just have to do that. Before I do I will talk to you and get some suggestions as to where to go and what to see. Keep on going and sending me your great adventures. Love you and talk to you later.

Bar Republik Check out this awesome bar in San Juan as well a friend I met along the way has just opened a bar there too... try to check it out for me, his name is James and he Canadian! Tell him hey
Awwwwwwwww... So, so sad; especially the confused mama turtle. How horrible. It's too bad the villagers aren't educated more in this regard so that at least an enforceable agreement can be made. Very admirable work you're doing there Missy Sarah! Take care!
Wow... Trying not to bawl when I read this. How sad that people don't understand that eggs = more turtles. I guess the situation is even worse than you read about in the news... I feel like I want to do SOMETHING to help, but I guess in some cases, even being on-scene doesn't guarantee you'll be able to do much. Sigh.
stewardship on God's green earth Hi Boo,
You've always had a strong moral compass, well done. If everyone contributed to the welfare of the planet as best they can, the world would be a better place for all of us. Glad to see you are making the most of your weekends. Proud of you. And love you, now and always.
Be safe, Godspeed.

Oh Ah, Sarita- so sad to hear about this story. Keep trying, every little bit helps. Was the water way colder? I only got one of the private blogs, the one about Comayagua...
I figured it out finally!! Hey buddy, I am so glad you had a great birthday and that things with Walt are feeling more comfortable, you were a part for quite awhile so more time together without any pressure may be exactly what you both need. Your new apartment looks great as does the new school. We still have a few weeks before we go back but I am getting ready for it too.
I want private! Hey Jazzy - sorry this is a bit delayed from when you actually blogged, but I follow your blog and would love to be on the private list.
Sounds like a great start to the year! I hope you'll have fun with the 2nd graders and 4th graders - big difference between them I bet (I'm teaching Gr. 5 myself this year)! Enjoy...and I'm glad to hear that you are safe and away from all the trouble.
hey sarah.
after reading the reply to your discussion post, that user might have the right suggestion to get past these problems - have people create an account and then invite them to join. cause i haven't had any problems with my pre-existing account - i've received all of your notifications and once i sign into my account everything shows up just fine.
I can get in! Hi Sarah.. I can get in, you have to login at the top right hand corner with your email address and password. Then your private posts show up on the control panel. The only thing I noticed, and I told your MOM this yesterday, is that I don't get an email to tell me you have posted a private blog. Should I be?
Thanks!
help when you log in it brings you to something like a blog homepage i guess the private blogs to choose from are on the right hand side for me just find the Title you are looking for (it should be in order with newest at the top) and click the title to see the blog.
It started with a year teaching in Honduras. Then it was home to the COLD winter of Canada to try and pay off some debts, followed by sailing the seas with Norwegian Cruise Lines, working as a youth counsellor.
Next it was back to Honduras, teaching in a school in Tegucigalpa!
Now, I am home in Canada but continue traveling.
Thanks for joining me on my journey!
