It took many weeks, but I have finally made it to Novgorod, perhaps one of the greatest Russian cities to exist, all the way from my home near Constantinople. I am a merchant by trade and I know my ways around the various routes, so it wasn’t that difficult of a journey. The only problem is, I wish I brought more warm clothes to withstand these Kievan temperatures. This problem was shortly solved by being surrounded by a whole community of merchants with whom I traded my Roman goods for warm furs. I was also discovered the other unique wares that are up for trade in this part of the world.
