I am sitting in a red room of a hostel in San Telmo, Buenos Aires, strictly for 18 to 36 year olds, trying to stop my two children (10 years and eight) from fighting. The high-ceilinged rooms echo with their high-pitched squabbling over a game of cards. The rest of the travellers are watching a crucial football game between Argentina and Germany on the TV.
