Becoming the International Traveler Assalamualaikum Darlin ~
I do so love your blogs. I have to admit when I saw the pics of the apt. I thought "Wow Shakirah that place looks nice! Guess it really is all perspective and expectations. After living in Pakistan for a total of about 5 yrs plus numerous visits, in various situations, your place looked really good. Alhumdulilliah you are sharing your feelings with us and reminding us that we too are seeing everything through our own lens of experiences. I totally relate to your desire to be in a very Islamic situation only to find the Western culture has beat you there. Insha Allah you will meet some lovely sisters soon. Love your furniture too...did you get it all locally? It really doesn't matter if this ends up being permanent, semi-permanent, or short lived. Just try to soak up what every good you can and keep us in the loop. Remember, you're (we all are )just passing through. Alhumdulillah you have a wonderful husband, children, family and friends who love you so much ~ and we all have you! Do you get Skype yet? Let us know as soon as you do. Love you & Miss you --- Allah Hafiz
dusty EXTREMELY, ITS DUSTY ENOUGH WITHOUT THE MALL. THE MALL JUST MAKES IT RIDICULOUS. the watered the whole area to try to keep the dust down while they were picking up all of the garbage.
My family and I are traveling to morrocco from the US to visit my in laws this summer and ultimately moving to Emirates I wanted to document our travels especially for our children ages 7 and 4. I also wanted to share my adventures with family and friends who are far away........ full info
