Pra somchai Hello ... My name is Eva. I was in Thailand in 2003 and i met pra somchai kemassarano on koh phangan. A friend of mine, wants to visit him too. She is now in Thailand and wrote me, that Pra Somchai doesnt live there anymore. Do you have an information, where he is at the moment? Do you have any adress or something. It would be very nice to hear from you. All the best.

I am so glad to have found your blog Just a quick note to say that I have been reading and enjoying your indian adventures immensely. But the writing on this post was simply incredible - I just had to say thank you for sharing this with me.
I hope you are writing as a profession or hobby and publishing widely. Writing like this simply cannot be limited to a travel blog - it would be criminal not to share it with the rest of the world.
Good luck with your journeys!
Resort development for Bangkaru? I do not know if the planned resort was built on Pulau Bangkaru. Although I know there's a need for accommodations on the island as there are growing numbers of people who want to experience its pristine loveliness and uncrowded, unpolluted beaches I also think that since Bangkaru is in a protected area that high-priced, commercial accomodations could potentially be very destructive to its sensitive environment (especially as Pulau Bangkaru is a rather small place). Bungalows as the kind I saw in the Togian Islands I feel would be the best option for this small, pristinely beautiful island. They would accommodate visitors, blend in well with the landscape, and have a limited imopact ont he corals, beach forests, turtle nesting sites etc.
pulau banyak We are in Pulau Weh right now. Snorkeling and diving is good. Th beaches are a bit dissapointing, almost none. Afther seeing your pictures of the banyaks we dicided to go there next week
Cool. It is genuinely stunning. But be warned, malaria is rife there. I caught it and it was not nice. Say hello to Charlie on Tailana or Erwin on palambak
We somehow missed this blog... A bit of a late comment, but we somehow missed this blog of yours when you published it. The description of the mixed seafood salad had us laughing...we always have at least one instance in Thailand visits when the cook decides to make it Thai spicy rather than the toned down spicy. Donna always asks for her food spicy and always gets caught out once...cue tears rolling down her face and the slow, slow eating.like you described!

There is only one man offering accommodation on the small road to the fort, and that is Ghisu's Lucky Homestay. It is extremely basic accommodation and he has no phone, or at least he didn't when we were there. You'll find him though, or more likely he'll find you when you get down from the bus. Enjoy
