Crossing over into Cambodia, you see an phenomenal difference immediately. From the modern, flashy, fast-moving Saigon, you are transported back to the simple life. People are barefoot, cattle wonder the streets, people are working out on in the fields on Sunday, ladies with huge baskets walk around with food and fruit - including Camdoian delicacies - deep fried grass hopper, tarancula, whoel roasted baby chicken licken complete with head and beak. Immediately you are confronted with evidence of Cambodia's traumatic past as I see many people and children missing limbs due to the landmine situation. The weather has cramtically changed - it is hotter and dryer (and not raining, thank GOd) The look of the people is also very different from their Vietnamese neighbours.
