Yay for Thailand! :o) Rach, you're scoring a nice tan there.....so jealous!! Sounds like you're having an amazing time in Thailand which is awesome - it's such a great country isn't it? I haven't been up north to Chiang Mai so it's great to hear your encounters - definitely one of the stops I will be including in my next trip there.
Now, off to read your next couple of blogs..... :o)
Hi Megan reminded us yesterday of our blog, so I checked it out. The last time I read it you were in Swakopmund, a long time ago. I love your photos on this blog, the giraffe are classic. My grandparents used to have a farm quite near to the Spitzkoppe, I used to go to school in Swakopmund. Often think that it would be a lovely place to retire to, but I think it is very expensive these days.
You said your cooking instructor was "Mai". Did you go to Mai Kaidee's cooking school?!? Because that is my favorite restaurant in the entire world! I'm not a vegetarian, but I could honestly eat at Mai Kaidee's everyday for the rest of my life and be quite happy without meat:) Love Love Love the food there. Have fun on the rest of your travels:)
I'm envious Decades ago now a colleague of mine and I put together student trip to Nairobi and the aera attractions. We would have taken the old train to Mombassa also. Didn't happen! I have wanted to go there for years and years but it probably won't happen unless I win the lottery - which I don't play. So I have enjoyed your post tremendously! Thank you Bill
updates Hi Kids, just realised your blog has been updated! Great photos, jealous about the hot-air balloon ride. Its on my bucket list still! Hope Asia measures up after all the excitement of Africa.

Hi Glad you liked the pics. No, we didn't try warthog. I wish we'd known as we would have been keen.
We're officially done with Tanzania and Kenya. We're hoping to post the blog for that either tomorrow or the next day. We arrived in Bangkok today.
If we don't speak to you before Christmas, have a lovely holiday season and tell everyone hi!
familiar territory Hi guys!!
Enjoyed seeing all the pics of the places I have visited... the delta, chobe, vic falls etc... brings back lots of great memories... that helicopter flight looked like fun... sounds like you guys went to the same big game restaurant we went too... did you eat the warthog? ( the yummiest meat in the world) Good luck for the next part of your adventure! Dar es Salaam is something else!!!
