Uncle Hi Lindsay..just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday. I don't know if this will find you. I wrote a note a month, or so ago, and not sure you received it.
Sounds, and looks, like you are having a great time. Max said you would be coming home soon...looking forward to hearing all about your travels. Max said he wrote you a Happy Birthday note, but wasn't sure his computer was on the same page.. take care and see you soon. love uncle don
Uncle Don! Hi Uncle Don, I'm so glad to hear from you!! I apologize, I didn't know how to send respond comments until just now. Thank you for the birthday wishes! I hope you're doing okay! :) can I have your email address? I'd like to keep in touch with you. Have a great day!
Flowers Lindsay, One of the flowers look like camellias. I still hope you get to see tree peonias in bloom, one of my favorites that originated in China. I pray you will be safe in Thailand. Since you are alone you need to be careful!! But I also envy you seeing things I will probably never see. Take lots of pictures!
Love, Grandma Nancy
Hi! Hi grandma, I finally figured out how to post respond comments. Yes the flowers there are beautiful, I would have dried out some pretty ones for you but they wouldn't make it through customs. :/
Hello China Hi Lindsay.. Max and Margaret keep me informed about your travels. Guess you had problems with a primate. That musst of been frightening. Max said he didn't think you had long term problems.
You pictures are great. I would never have guessed where you were. Beautiful place.
WEll, keep up the good work. I think you are learning a language that will play big in our future. Looking forward to hearing all about your adventures when you return. love Uncle Don
Monkey bite Dear Lindsay,
I'm worried about your bite and your being sick. I hope you will get it looked at and let us know how you are. Love your pictures and videos.

Guilin exploring Dear Lindsay,
How brave you are! exploring by yourself. I think you are right, being by yourself (and being the friendly person you are) makes strangers want to help you. As the weather becomes more springlike I hope you can visit a botanical garden. Look for Tree peonies, one of my favorites and China is their birthplace.

I'm constantly in awe of where these small hands have taken me, and of where my feet might be swept off to.
