Dining at the Ritz!
I so agree that Poland is wonderfully affordable, full of beautiful, old town centers and great, new museums. You and Trish really managed to see lots of fab sites in Gdansk. I was there in the winter, and in Sopot, saw snow on the beach--something I'd never thought existed. I'd consider moving there, but the language--what a dilly!

Totally agree
Great blog Russ. Luckily for us we had two more days and managed to visit a few other places nearby as well. As you said , definitely worth a visit.

Sweet town
Not only the gingerbread, but the architecture, river and all look pretty sweet. Too bad I missed it on that same route that you're taking. However, near Torun is Marlbork Castle, which I saw on a day trip from Gdansk. Both it and Torun are World Heritage Sites--love those. Also love these colored, musical fountains!

Love Warsaw!
I was there in the freezing winter, but it's beautiful in the spring. The changes sound wonderful--Soho Factory with its public art and neon, especially. Loved that you included my old favorites, old town, Copernicus and the Warsaw Uprising. What a fun visit!

White Sands!
The sands here look stunning. We're trying to decide whether to include some all inclusive time in our Cuba trip, at a Cayo like this or perhaps Varadero. It's very tempting!
