Biltmore Estate
Hi,It seems like you both like nature but if you want visit the other side take in Biltmore. It was built by the Vanderbilts back in the 1880's I think,The landscape was designed by the same guy who put did Central Park in New York. The place is amazing it's worth the entrance fee for the house tour.So if you appreciate that kind of thing do not miss it.

Charleston
I enjoyed your blog and photos about Charleston. I used to live there many years ago. Antebellum is a term which refers to the period before the Civil War, generally from 1800 to 1860. (The southerners call it "The War Between the States") Antebellum houses were usually one or more stories with large windows going from floor to ceiling. They generally had wide porches or verandahs running the length of one side of the house, if not all the way around. The exterior often had huge columns on the front. They were almost always painted white. A typical plantation house was antebellum architecture.

Sounds like you are having fun
I have enjoyed reading your blog. Most people who travel America from other countries go to LA, San Francisco, NYC and Las Vegas. It is great that you are seeing a bit more of what America has to offer. You really have not seen America unless you have seen small town America and I thank you for taking the time to do that. great pics!
I find the chinese art in the park much more odd than Miro and Picasso. I guess the city is doing it's best to be diverse. Glad you had a good time.

Great pictures Russ, I especially like the opening one, is that the Chott el Jerid? I think we stayed in the same hotel as you when we were in Tozeur, though we were spared the big group of Tunisian women.

"The other side of town"
Olá! I live in THIS side of the town, and i know that tourists prefer to go to another place, i would if i was a tourist. But don't deceive youself. People there are like other ones that you knew here or everywhere. Don't judge for the appearances. And don't let people do that for you. Thanks for the visit!
