Some wonderful pics :)
If I ever do get back to Europe, I would love to tour Spain. Apart from a quick whistle stop tour of Barcelona, I haven't seen much of this amazing country at all. The Basque Country looks simply sublime and it would be nice to get away from this heat for a while :)

Basque Country coast
As you say, it is a pity some people arrive at Bilbao but do not have any information about other places to go. I live and work in Sopelana, a little further if you continue the coast line and pass Getxo. Wilder and quite different. And it only takes you 40 minutes from Bilbao in the metro (this time you have to take the one named Plentzia and get off in Sopelana) You can also enjoy the sightseigs of the cliffs, surf , paraglide, or walk along and relax. I am here for any further information you may need. Come and visit!

3 hours from Heathrow to wine is moving at a nice pace. I'll have to go back a blog or two to see if you stated what your new jobs are as I don't remember that part. Looking forward to following along on your Spanish adventures.

Brought a smile...
Hi There...just wanted to say how refreshing it was to read a blog about Yorkshire! (though my home is East Yorkshire, but still brought a smile to my face)....It's blogs like this that make things more real and I will certainly blog about my home town when I get back at the end of the year...currently in Vietnam myself...and a little bit homesick! Lol...sure it won't last long and you're blog helped! :) Tina x

Its not a sea dredger its a Heavy Lift barge that has been a blight on the view for a couple of years now. It was moored further offshore but they moved it in close last year.

Hi Russ (and Trish)....i saw your post on \'Flight English\' forum. I too am a member but rarely contibute after long ago being put off by the, at times, arragance, one-up-manship, smug and perceived sense of self importance some of the main contributers continually display inbetween the odd relevent point or example of teaching technique. I have however read some of your posts here and there and looked at your blog before today. A fascinating life you seem to be leading, nice one. My wife and i have had a similar TEFL related life of travelling and teaching...love it. I am currently teaching Aviation English in Spain after many years of being in the general TEFL/ESL world. Anyway, i noticed a comment about you currently being in Vietnam and that is one place that has always been on my list of places to live and work before i hang up my \'chalk duster\' (interactive these days)...so i was immediately interested in your experience there and wanted to ask a couple of questions if you don\'t mind that is (as i dont know you from Adam). Are you teaching Aviation English in Vietnam or regular TEFL? What is your impression of the country from a TEFL couple point of view? Do you have any tips, suggestions for working there...Aviation English or otherwise or for just travelling around there also? Ok, thanks for your time and good luck in what looks like a great life you have carved out for yourself. Cheers. Rob Walton
